Quite honestly, I think my husband and I would have both lost our minds in the months after our first daughter's birth, had we not had the Moby D. She had a dairy intolerance which made her thoroughly miserable for the first few months until we discovered what it was. I couldn't feed her to sleep at night because she pooed ever feed. After every night feed she needed to be resettled after changing. I would hand her over to my husband, who would put her in the Moby D and hoover (we had a very clean carpet!) her to sleep then sneak her out of it. She was quite possetty because of the intolerance so the sling really needed regular washing. We got quite panicky at the thought of coping without it for 24 hours while it dried! We didn't dare wash it until we had got a second one!
My 2nd daughter is now 4 months old and this time round I think we have used it even more. With a rampaging toddler and a baby-loving heat-seeking cat the sling is frankly the safest place for her. She was also quite colicky the first few months and Hug Hold in the Moby D was the best way to get a good burp! She is also very easily over-stimulated so the dark, cosy MOby D is the best way for her to snuggle in and tune the world (or noisy toddlers) out when she needs to. Again we have had both in constant use.
I am very excited at the moment because my sister in law is about to have a baby and I am just about to buy her her first Moby - a red Moby wrap. She'll need it because she lives on the 2nd floor!
